Terms of use

The agreement between you and Curio, written to be read rather than skipped.

These terms cover your use of oncurio.com. Reading the site means you accept them. They are short on purpose, and the section that matters most to you is the one about risk.

What Curio is

Curio is an independent publication about crypto and Web3. We publish research, reviews, comparisons and explainers. We are a publisher, not a broker, exchange, custodian, adviser or agent. We hold no customer funds, execute no trades, and have no client relationship with you. How we pay for the work is set out in our affiliate disclosure, and how we decide what to recommend is set out in our editorial policy.

Nothing here is financial advice

This is the term we most want you to notice. Everything on Curio is general information published for a global readership. It takes no account of your circumstances, your tax position, or the rules where you live. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose all of the money you put into them. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on it is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Decide for yourself, and take professional advice where you need it.

Accuracy, and where it ends

We check what we publish and we date it. Fees, features, listings, regulatory treatment and token economics all change without notice, and a page that was accurate in March can be wrong by June. Always confirm a fee schedule or a product feature with the provider before you act on it. Where a page carries a last-updated date, that date is the honest limit of what we can vouch for.

How you may use our work

The text, images, charts and layout of this site belong to Curio unless credited otherwise. You may read, share and link to our pages freely, and quote a short extract with a visible credit and a working link back to the original. You may not republish a page in full, sell it, or feed it into a product that reproduces it in substance. If you want to syndicate something properly, ask us.

Links to other people's sites

We link out constantly, because a claim you cannot check is not worth much. Those sites are not ours. We do not control their content, their terms or their security, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it. Some outbound links are affiliate links, disclosed in full on our affiliate disclosure page.

Guest and sponsored contributions

If you send us a pitch or a draft through write for us or advertise, you confirm the work is yours to give, that it is not published elsewhere, and that we may edit it for accuracy and house style. Sponsored placements are labelled as sponsored and their commercial links carry rel="sponsored". We keep final editorial control over everything we publish, including work that was paid for.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Curio is not liable for loss you suffer from acting on something you read here, from an error or omission on a page, or from the site being unavailable. Some places do not allow limits like that, so if you live somewhere that gives you stronger rights, those rights still apply and nothing here takes them away.

Changes and contact

We update these terms when the site changes, and the date at the top tells you when we last did. Continuing to read the site after a change means you accept the current version. Questions go to hello@oncurio.com, or through the contact page.
